API Adaptors

The API Adaptor is the tanker’s connection valve for filling at the loading rack and for unloading by hose at the service station.

Our API adaptors have been designed to incorporate maximum safety, high flow, low-pressure drop, easy maintenance and offer long service life.

The design of these valves in accordance with the internationally recognised standard for bottom loading (API RP 1004, CEN/ADR) makes them ideal for oil companies and transporters of petroleum products.

Drop Elbows

Drop Elbows are used during delivery operations at fuel stations. They are connected between the underground tank fill point and to the tank delivery hose.

Emergency Valves

Also known as a Foot Valve, Bottom Valve, Belly Valve, Sump Valve or Internal Valve, Soliflo's range of emergency valves is manufactured to contain the contents of a tanker, should the run-off pipes be damaged.

Pneumatic and mechanical emergency / bottom-operated valves

Manhole Covers & Accessories

Emergency venting (fire engulfment), tank breathing and flanges for ancillary equipment are included with all Soliflo supplied Manhole Covers.

Oval and 16” - 20” diameters

These protect the tanker against rupture, division reversal and explosion when either natural or catastrophic internal pressures build up.

Vacuum relief protects against tank implosion and compartment division reversal. The 10" hinged, lockable hatch facilitates easy insertion of top loading pipes while the ancillary flanges save costs, time and aid tank integrity.

They can be supplied as either left-hand or right-hand configuration allowing ancillary items, such as HLCO, Dip Tube or Mechanical Top Operator, to be positioned on the tanker centre line.

Pneumatic Controls

The Pneumatic Control Systems supplied by Soliflo comprise various air operated components used as control devices for actuating pneumatic valves, interlocking vehicle brakes or other pneumatic components with a guard bar or door actuation.

These components ensure signals are directed to the relevant compartment valves and also provide safety and security interlocking designed to customers’ specific requirements.

TODO Ball Valves

One-Way and Two-Way Ball Valves

TODO Ball Valves are used to switch between pump lines during mobile fuelling applications.

High performance, lightweight ball valves made from aluminium, they were the first products to be developed by TODO.

Offering obvious, robust, weight-saving benefits for the road tanker industry, they can also be used in a variety of plant applications.

Similar in design to the one-way valve, the two-way valve performs a different function. Usually used as a compartment or tank switching valve, the two-way valve has three ports - one inlet and two outlets. The valve directs the flow from the inlet to either of the two outlets.

Features apply equally to both one-way and two-way designs. Available with a wide selection of end connections and activation configurations.

Vapour Recovery Adapter

Designed to minimise pressure drop and maximise the efficiency of petroleum vapour recovery during road tanker loading and unloading, the Vapour Recovery Adapter supplied by Soliflo incorporate a lightweight aluminium construction for increased payload and reduced maintenance.

Multi-compartment loading at high flow rates with vapour return is possible without exceeding P/V vent pressure ratings.

To ensure coupling compatibility, the 4" grooved connection (Surelok or Camlok) is in accordance with the internationally accepted standards (CEN/ADR/API).

Vapour Transfer Vents

As a key component in the vapour recovery system, Soliflo’s Vapour Transfer Vent (VTV), fitted to the manhole cover, provides the means to transfer displaced vapours to and from the tanker.

Supplied air operated and sequenced with the emergency valve, they ensure vapours are transferred safely during the loading and unloading process.
